What we do
New Australian trade mark filings are checked against the names our customers watch within hours of IP Australia publishing them. When a filing looks similar, a person reads the alert before it is emailed. Each alert says what was filed, when, in which classes and how it resembles the customer's name, with the date the window to oppose it closes.
Anyone can check a name against every Australian trade mark on record with our free trade mark search, without giving an email address.
Each month we publish figures on Australian trade mark filings: how many applications were filed, in which classes and by what kind of applicant, with no applicant named. Our guides explain how Australian trade marks work, citing IP Australia's and ASIC's own pages.
What we don't do
CopyCatcher isn't a law firm and doesn't give legal advice. We don't file, oppose or register trade marks for anyone. Our alerts, reports and guides state facts; what to do about a filing is up to the reader.
